Rejected petition Recognise Palestine as a state immediately

We urgently call upon our government to join France and 147 of the 193 member states of the United Nations in recognising Palestine as a state immediately. This is a crucial step towards sovereignty for the Palestinian people and peace in the surrounding region.

The population of Gaza are dying in their thousands in a man-made humanitarian catastrophe. Urgent action is required.
Following 221 MPs across 9 parties who expressed their support for UK recognition of a Palestinian state on the 25th July 2025. We, the British people, also wish to demonstrate that we fully back recognising Palestine's statehood.
