Rejected petition Change NHS break in service policy to a reasonable period of time.
Change the NHS break in service policy to be 1 month instead of 1 week. This provides protection for those changing jobs between contracts/jobs within the NHS.
More details
The current break in service policy only covers 1-week. This is highly unreasonable, as it doesnt afford time for relocation, times between trust inductions, or any reasonable reason leading to a gap between NHS jobs. Moving to a 1-month break in service policy would be more reasonable and protect those facing redundancy from missing out on earning compensation.
