Rejected petition Include the word ‘Kick’ in the Physical Education [P.E] curriculum

The petition proposes that its inclusion is an essential requirement to begin the coaching of football to girls in primary school.
It is brought on behalf of Billiemonroe who is an 8 years old Club Academy player who is habitually the only female playing football amongst male, age equivalent peers.

More details

Women’s football, at Club level, nationally & internationally continues to grow exponentially-the pinnacle being their defence of the Euros 22 title this year; breaking the attendance record for a women’s Final to become the first national team, of the Men’s & Women’s game, to win overseas. However, the opportunity for girls to play football at school continues to be stagnant. A shift in government policy is needed to change the perception & culture of the next generation’s female players.
