Rejected petition Ban the sale of all Nicotine products for under 18s and require plain packaging
Any and all products containing Nicotine should fall in line with existing legislation for the sale of tobacco products. Including a ban on sale to under 18s, plain packaging and sale stored behind a counter.

It is abhorrent that nicotine pouches obviously packaged to appeal to children are not illegal to sell to under 18s. Nicotine addiction is rising massively in children because these products are easy to buy and marketed towards them. I believe adding wording into existing legislation for the sale of tobacco products to bring all nicotine containing products would address this and close off loop holes.

The Tobacco and Vapes Bill, which has passed its third reading in the House of Commons, already bans the sale of vaping and nicotine products to under 18s, and also bans the free distribution of these products.
