Our UK society has long solved its problems without mass surveillance and it can continue.
Laws banning uses aren’t enough. Governments change. History shows any tool of control will be misused.
Instead, such systems must be banned from physical existence to avoid the «we won’t misuse it» trap.
It includes systems able to:
–detect whereabouts (e.g. mass facial recognition)
–scan private messages
–impose digital ID
–link all online activity to verified identity
–enforce a cashless society
etc.
