Rejected petition Make the purchase of defibrillators vat free

In order to assist in the purchase and installation of defibrillators throughout communities I call on the Government to remove vat from defibrillator purchase.
This would greatly assist community groups or individuals that currently have to find an additional 20% to make their purchase

I am part of a Community Interest Company that have purchased and installed some defibrillators in our local area, as the area was researched to find suitable locations for the defibrillators many sites we’re saying they would like to purchase a defibrillator but could not raise the additional 20% to pay the vat.
Our last purchase was 6 and should they have been vat exempt it could have been 7.
I believe if vat exemption was given then more communities would look to installing defibrillators.
