Govt was elected on a promise to secure our borders and smash the migrant smuggling gangs. Illegal channel crossings are increasing demonstrating our borders are less secure than before the election. The govt has lost its mandate to govern and should call an immediate general election

Election manifestos are an effective offer by the party seeking to govern and an acceptance by the electorate of that offer. A contract between government and the people is made. When such a clear and patent breach of contract is evident, only a general election can resolve whether or not a govt has a clear mandate to continue
