Change the law so MPs who resign also lose their seat and status. Currently they can remain MPs, causing confusion and undermining trust. Once they resign, they should no longer sit in the Commons or hold the title of MP. If an MP resigns they should leave Parliament

Resigning for misconduct or failure but keeping power and pay shows no real accountability. If their actions warrant resignation, they should leave Parliament.
