Rejected petition In a government leadership contest for PM a general election should be called
If a government elects a new PM mid term then a general election should be called. The new incumbent has not been voted for and infighting is happening too much.
More details
Too often governments have changed Prime Minister within their term of office after considerable infighting. This is a distraction from real events that need urgent government attention. The new PM has not been voted into office. If a leadership contest for PM ocurres then MPs will think twice about a leadership contest if it means triggering a general election. All the unelected PMs have caused considerable issues such as May, Truss, and soon Starmer! Government has stopped governing!
