I want the Government to lower the minimum salary threshold for veterinarians who work under the skilled worker visa. The minimum salary threshold for veterinarians was raised to £48,500 in July 2025. It is a very high amount for the vets who want to grow in their career in the UK.

Due to the salary threshold change, many people may not be able to start a job as a small animal veterinarian in the UK. I think this is unfair and I want the Government to change the threshold back.
