Rejected petition All Employment Tribunal awards must be paid in full to the claimant

If a claimant wins an award through an employment tribunal, they MUST get this money.

More details

From my own experience I have realised an employment tribunal decision means nothing!
The whole process is drawn out, stressful and even if you get an award - you still have to fight - and end up with nothing!
This HAS to change.

Why was this petition rejected?

We can't publish petitions when the request is something that's already happening or something that has been announced since you started your petition.

We think your petition is covered by Government or Parliament action already. If you'd like something else, you could start a new petition clearly explaining what it is.

If a tribunal decides that compensation should be awarded, the employer is ordered to pay once the claimant has received a written judgement. If the employer does not pay within 14 days they will also need to pay interest. Claimants can report an employer to the government, go to court, or claim compensation from the government if an employer does not pay.

More information on what happens once a tribunal awards compensation can be found here: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/work/employment-tribunal/employment-tribunals/the-tribunal-hearing/check-what-happens-if-you-win-your-employment-tribunal-case/

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
