Rejected petition: Bar all present and past members of Hamas, from entering the United Kingdom.

Rejected on

Pass legislation to ban all present and past members of Hamas, their families and its known supporters, from entering the United Kingdom and its territories. To permanently ban all members of the above group from ever settling in the United Kingdom and its territories.

Hamas is a known extremist terrorist group with a majority of its members indoctrinated from an early age. It's entire network represents a clear and present danger to the British population.

It is essential that the British Government places its own population above humanitarian support for an extremist group which practices inhumane treatment of others.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

It is already a criminal offence in the UK to belong to a proscribed group. The Home Secretary can already ban people on the basis that their presence is not conducive to the public good, which would include being a member of a proscribed group. We're therefore not sure what further action you'd like to see.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
