Rejected petition Publish data on NHS patients receiving ‘corridor care’.
Ask the NHS to publish the data for the number of patients receiving care in areas that are not designated as suitable for care, such as corridors, drug preparation rooms or hallways.
More details
The Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Nursing have both requested that the NHS publish data on the number of patients receiving ‘corridor care’. It is impossible to provide safe and dignified care in these settings and is now happening year round and has been normalised. It is absolutely disgraceful and undermines the ability of staff to treat their patients. This data should be made freely available to the public in order to quantify the scale of the problem.

Why was this petition rejected?
We can't publish petitions when the request is something that's already happening or something that has been announced since you started your petition.
We think your petition is covered by Government or Parliament action already. If you'd like something else, you could start a new petition clearly explaining what it is.
In October 2025, the Health Minister announced that the NHS will begin measuring and publishing the number of patients waiting in corridors.
