The UK has a moral duty to defend human rights. Under Article 8 of the African Charter, freedom of religion must be protected. The Government must act to support Nigerian Christians by:
Urging Nigeria to protect Christian and vulnerable communities
Supporting justice for victims
Providing aid to displaced families
Promoting peace and religious freedom with global partners
Over 4 years 56,000 lives were taken due to religious beliefs. UK government has an obligation to provide support.
