Rejected petition Ban the use and sale of fireworks for the general public.
To ban the purchase of fireworks for the general public and only allow official organisations to do firework displays with a potential licence out in place for said organisations.
More details
It's unfair for anyone to have to go out of their way to ensure their pets aren't scared of fireworks. Spending money on tablets to calm them down or having to play music to distract them isn't always realistic for some pet owners. Are those setting off the fireworks going to compensate for the pet owners? It's also harmful to wildlife and their habits, with the waste left behind from the firework.
