Rejected petition: Ban fireworks in residential areas unless a licensed public event.
Rejected on
Fireworks in residential back gardens are dangerous and cause stress to animals. The Government is allowing animal cruelty in 2025!
Firewood displays should only be allowed on set days and organised licenced displays only.
Firework displays should only be allowed on Guy Fawkes Day, New Years Eve and Chinese New Year. They should only be licensed public displays. The selling of fireworks to the general public should be banned.
Displays during November go on for over a week in built up residential areas and cause so much distress to people and animals. It is disgraceful that this is allowed in 2025
