Rejected petition Give the people the power to call a general election.
HMG should enact a law by which 50% of the electorate in two thirds of constituencies can trigger a general election by petition or letter/email to their MP.
More details
It is anathema in a modern democracy that a Prime Minister and government, which may quickly prove to be disastrous for the prosperity and wellbeing of the country cannot be brought to a General Election by the initiative of the people at law, instead having to be suffered by the people for a full five years. That is not democratic. The people must have the power, with enough numbers, to trigger a change of government sooner, should they see fit. General elections used to be annual.
