We, the undersigned, call upon the UK Government to introduce legislation requiring all Members of Parliament (MPs) to have demonstrable experience in business prior to standing for election.

We think that too many laws are shaped by people who’ve never run a business—especially a small one. The result? Poor policy and lost trust. MPs should have real business experience. It’s not about exclusion, but raising the bar. Parliament needs insight, not guesswork.
