Rejected petition Improve and Maintain Road Markings Across LIVERPOOL and ENGLAND.
I am calling on the Government and local authorities to improve the quality and maintenance of road markings across LIVERPOOL.
In many areas, road markings are faded, unclear, or completely missing, which creates dangerous driving conditions, especially at night or in bad weather.
More details
Clear road markings are essential for:
• Reducing accidents
• Improving traffic flow
• Supporting new and learner drivers
• Ensuring consistent road safety standards across the UK
I urge the Government to allocate proper funding, introduce regular maintenance schedules, and ensure that local councils meet minimal safety requirements for visible road markings

Why was this petition rejected?
It requests action at a local level.
We can’t accept petitions that call for action at a local level, or that are about something for which the UK Government or Parliament are not directly responsible for. Local authorities are responsible for local road markings.

And you can find out how to ask your MP to present a public (paper) petition here: https://www.parliament.uk/get-involved/sign-a-petition/paper-petitions/
We could accept a petition calling for the UK Government to provide specific funding for road markings, or to conduct a review of road markings across England, if that's something that you'd like to see.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
