We cannot align its objectives with ours, yet it could surpass human intelligence and embed itself in countless global systems. A single flawed implementation could destabilize health, finance, defense, and the economy. Once created, errors are irreversible. We are in a race to the bottom—Parliament should debate forming an international coalition to halt its development.
