Rejected petition: Maintain our constitutional right to trial by jury
Rejected on
Overturn the government's publicly stated intention to remove the right to trial by jury in all but the most serious cases and instead have government employed judges decide. We must maintain our constitutional right to trial by jury.
Impartiality cannot be guaranteed unless a public jury decides the outcome. It is of no benefit to the British public to have this constitutional right taken away.
