Open petition: Protect ADHD & autism Right to Choose – review NHS caps and low tariffs
Created by Emma McManus
Closes on
Review NHS England and Integrated Care Boards using Indicative Activity Plans as hard caps on ADHD and autism Right to Choose referrals, and revise proposed national tariffs so they fund safe, NICE-compliant assessment and titration rather than driving providers out of NHS work.
Over 500,000 people are waiting for ADHD assessment. We believe some ICBs are turning planning tools into de facto caps, forcing those who use Right to Choose into long “funding limbo” waits despite provider capacity. Very low proposed tariffs risk rushed titration, poorer safety and fewer providers, worsening access and inequality.
