The use of halal slaughter and sale of halal meat in the uk has been bought in without the consent of the British people and the majority do not know that they are buying meat from animals that have been inhumanly slaughtered. It is barbaric and against the principals of a nation of animal lovers.

Because it has been bought in without the British people being told and many steps have been taken to keep it from becoming common knowledge. Britain prides itself as a country that prides itself on animal welfare and this barbaric practice goes totally against this. If the public were made aware of the truth of how widespread this is, they would demand it be stopped.
