Rejected petition Stop Govt ending Trial by Jury which has been in our Constitution for 900+ yrs

David Lammy wants to stop trial by jury for most trials. This has been the cornerstone of British justice for over 900 yrs. It was granted in Magna Carta1215 & underpinned in Both Bill of Rights 1689 & Liberties of the Subjects 1345 so is enshrined in British Common Laws dating back over 900 yrs

More details

British Common Law Acts Magna Carta 1215, Liberties of the Subjects 1345 Declaration of Rights 1688 & Bill of Rights 1689 are all enshrined in British Common Law which holds more power than Parliamentary Statute Law in the British Justice system. Effectively stopping MPs or Govts removing the British peoples ancient Rights by Statute Acts. Any MP doing this is Effectively Breaking Constitutional law thus making the act illegal under Common Law. Trial by Jury is a fundamental right in the UK
