Rejected petition Enshrine a public right to constitutionally trigger a No Confidence Vote
We ask Parliament to legislate for a constitutional mechanism allowing the public to trigger a Parliamentary Vote of No Confidence when a verified petition meets a very high threshold. Public sovereignty requires a lawful means to challenge Government legitimacy between elections.
More details
We want Parliament to create a legal mechanism allowing the public to trigger a Parliamentary Vote of No Confidence when a verified petition reaches a very high threshold. Public sovereignty requires a democratic safeguard so that when national confidence collapses, Parliament must formally examine whether the Government still commands legitimacy.
