Rejected petition: Require transparency on aircraft emissions and atmospheric activity over the UK
Rejected on
I want the Government to publish full details of all aircraft emissions and any authorised atmospheric activity in UK airspace. This should include independent monitoring, public reporting, and clear disclosure of any operations that may affect air quality or the environment.
People in the UK are increasingly concerned about what is being released into the atmosphere and how it may affect public health and the environment. There is currently no clear transparency framework. Requiring disclosure and independent monitoring would build trust, protect public health, and ensure all activities in our skies are subject to proper oversight.
Why was this petition rejected?
We can't publish petitions when the request is something that's already happening or something that has been announced since you started your petition.
We think your petition is covered by Government or Parliament action already. If you'd like something else, you could start a new petition clearly explaining what it is.
Aircraft operators fall under the UK Emissions Trading scheme which means they report on their annual emissions.
