Rawhide is dangerous for dogs. It is a huge chocking hazard. It is hard to digest and can cause internal blockages. It has no nutritional benefits. Manufacturing often uses harsh chemicals like formaldehyde, bleach, arsenic or lye which is a toxic risk. Glue is used to press rawhide into shapes. It is also often dyed to hide discolouration. It has risk of carrying salmonella and e coli. The production and sale of them should be illegal
