Open Fund mandatory safety upgrades for all public transport vehicles by 2028

We call on the Government to fund compulsory safety upgrades for all public transport, including: fatigue detection / drowsiness monitoring, distraction detection / attention monitoring, and installing driver alcohol detection systems. This could substantially reduce accidents and save many lives.

It is reported that fatigue / drowsiness detection can result in fatigue incident reduction by up to 90%, and a distraction detection system could reduce phone distractions by 80%. In addition, a Driver Alcohol Detection System could save many lives.
