Rejected petition: Regulate Generative AI to make online spaces safer and to protect our creativity
Rejected on
Put region wide regulations/blocks on Generative AI platforms such as Craiyon, Grok and ChatGPT amongst others, making it harder to access, generate or create source code for misleading, harmful, exploitative and perverted images, sounds and videos.
Over the past few years we have seen an uprise in AI generated media, this harms the safety of women & girls online, posed a threat to our creative media industry and has been a big thorn in the side of our cyber security.
Recently, Grok has mass produced CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material). AI generated film trailers have appeared on social media misleading us & the elderly are falling victim to AI scams, unregulated generative AI is a threat to our integrity as a nation and our culture.
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We are not sure what kind of regulations you would like to see introduced.
