Rejected petition Make government provide financial help to pubs and restaurants

We need the government to reverse the business rates increases and provide a VAT break to pubs and restaurants. If they don't then maybe people should consider spending the money for their tax payments in pubs and restaurants instead!

Pubs and restaurants are closing at an unprecedented rate and unless the government provides assistance to them by the time of the next election we will have lost too many.
The government need to provide assistance now or step down before they do irreversible damage to our hospitality sector. Let's hope the public spend money in pubs etc instead of paying their tax bills and also that all pubs, restaurants etc ban Labour MPs so they can sample what life will be like for us all in 2029!
