Rejected petition Allow Mayors to stand in any future leadership contests
People who have been democratically elected into such positions of authority such as Mayor should be allowed to stand for their given party in any leadership contest. As they can demonstrate their ability to govern at a high level.

People such as Mayors are elected and are representatives of their parties they are also members of their parties. In sight of recent events allowing this would eliminate any abuse of power, thus stopping any future blocking of potential candidates. This Petition is about democratic fairness.
