Rejected petition Create a Heathrow residents’ commissioner to protect residents in the area.
Following the precedent set by the HS2 residents' commissioner, the residents of Hillingdon wish to have representation to protect their rights during the proposals for a third runway. The commissioner would monitor the proposals with the four tests set out and aim to secure more for all residents.
More details
The residents surrounding Heathrow have been through decades of threats to destroy their homes. HS2 has a commissioner who stands up and protects residents.

We want to have our own independent commissioner to help vet proposals for any Heathrow expansion. We want the government and parliament to look at proposals on this and explore how to serve the residents' voices better. This is on behalf of the Hillingdon Herald.
