Rejected petition Any person Convicted of a crime should not be allow to stand to become a MP.
Ensure the potential and sitting MPs are of the highest moral standing whilst in public office. Any person who has been convicted of a crime should be bared from becoming an MP or if in office should be removed as a MP with loss of benefits of having been a MP.
This should be embedded in law.
More details
The general public has lost faith in British politics they make statements which are clearly not going to be possible with no consequences to misleading the public.
If they lose an election most will just walk across to the other benches and carry on as normal, there is no consequence to failure at any level.
MPs should be of the highest moral standard and be above reproach.
