Closed petition Allow Military Veterans to have the letter MV after their name.

Closed on

In the light of the announcement from Defence Secretary Michael Fallon that Volunteer Reserves will be able to use the letters VR after their names after 10 years of service, why is it that regular members of the Armed Forces have been overlooked in this regard?
Surely by allowing those that gave their full time to the defence of their country to have a similar right is as just a cause.
If Military Veterans were allowed to have the initials MV after their name, then this would show potential future employers that they have the training and ethos that has made the British Armed Forces the envy of the World, due to their strong work ethic and loyalty to their cause.
