Rejected petition: To incorporate cpr & Defibrillator training into the school curriculum

To instigated the training of CPR & Defibrillator procedures into the schools curriculum from year 6 onwards.

Our fellow European countries have cpr & Defibrillator training as part of there school curriculum, no schools in the uk offer this.
Because in Europe it is part of the curriculum & children have the knowledge & skill to do cpr there survival rates are around 78% where as at present here in the uk our survival rates are 18%.
In implementing this training into our schools it can only improve our survival rates for the better.

How to administer CPR is already part of the health curriculum for secondary schools, which you can see on page 38 of the curriculum guidance here:
