Rejected petition: Change the law about drivers injuring or killing a cat and not reporting it

Rejected on

I want it to be made illegal for a driver to hit a cat and not stop to report it

Too many cats or getting injured or killed by people driving. Most people don’t report these incidents and just leave the cats to die on the road. Families deserve some sort of closure when it comes to their beloved cats. Most drivers actually hit cats in broad daylight and at speed and still do nothing about it. They don’t try to slow down or swerve the cats as they know that the legally dong have too. This needs to change.
