We call on the Government to review housing support for single parents.

More details

This review should include:
1. Consider whether housing policies account specifically for shared custody agreements, and ensure that both parents can access suitable housing.
2. Provide dedicated support services and resources for single fathers, including counselling and financial advice to help them navigate housing challenges.
3. Monitor and put measures in place to ensure that housing policy recognises the specific challenges experienced by some single parents, including the (in our view) unique challenges faced by single dads who have shared custody of a child.
