Rejected petition Require TfL to Develop a Mobile App for Children’s Zip Oyster Cards

Require TFL to support low income families by utilising modern technology instead of making money from families when a child loses their zip pass making it not only an extra expense but difficult for the child to travel to school

More details

Children’s Zip Oyster photocards (for ages 5-15) provide essential free or discounted travel on London’s transport network, but they are physical plastic cards that are easily lost, damaged, or stolen—especially by young users.
Each replacement currently costs families £11 (admin fee)
This creates an unfair financial burden on families, particularly lower-income ones who rely on these concessions for school, activities, and family travel. Waiting for replacements forces parents to pay full fare
