Rejected petition Help us pet owners by making vet practices not for profit organisations

I would like vet practices to become not for profit organisations. Vets are taking advantage of pet owners and pet insurance companies making insurance unaffordable and in many cases people are having to surrender their pets resulting in a crisis at shelters.

Me and my partner have good jobs, yet we are finding vet bills unaffordable. We have 2 dogs, both with eye and skin issues which is resulting in regular visits to the vets. Its costing more than our mortgage each month. I also volunteer at a dog shelter and we are seeing so many dogs being surrendered due to the same issue. Vets are out of control and something needs to be done about it. Its heartbreaking breaking 💔
