Rejected petition Restrict the Pay rise of the Members of N Ireland's Legislative Assembly (MLAs)

Northern Ireland's Members of the Legislative Assembly are about to be awarded a £14.000 pay increase, which equals 27 per cent, of an increase
I would respectfully request that this increase be limited to the UK's current rate of inflation, of between three and four per cent of a pay increase

I am a Pensioner who has worked all my life, including 30 years in the N Ireland Prison Service, in a difficult, challenging and dangerous enviroment
To be told that the people of all the various political parties in my country will be receiving such a staggeringly large increase in pay, when our country is in such deep financial trouble, is not only alarming but sets the wrong president to other people. As a pensioner, my pay increase was 4.1 per cent, and my politicians should follow suit.
