Rejected petition: Follow Scotland. Provide free feminine products. End period poverty in Britain
Rejected on
Scotland have recently made period products free for women. Women in the rest of Britain are still suffering period poverty and we want you to follow and do the same.
We do not get a choice in having periods. It's a biological inevitability for almost all women, and we should not have to pay for feminine products for something we do not get a choice in. Diabetics do not get a choice in needing their medications, and women do not get a choice in bleeding for 1 week in every 4. If Scotland can do it, we can do it. If we can do it, so can other countries. In Britain, i would like to think we are ahead of basic standards.
