Rejected petition Change the GCSE’s curriculum to a more modern standard across the UK.

Adapt the curriculum to meet modern life skills and to adapt to a employees choice. As someone with dyscalculia, I find it difficult to understand mathematics within the framework of todays GCSE’s standards. I believe that this should change!

The current GCSE curriculum, particularly in Maths, does not fully reflect the practical skills and knowledge required in today’s modern workforce. Many students struggle to understand how what they are learning connects to real-life careers. I have built upon this information from asking teachers in college.

The raising of the pass mark to Grade 4 has created uncertainty, and many students leave school feeling discouraged rather than supported.
