Open petition: Require train operators to provide designated pram spaces on trains
Created by Harriet Stanley
Closes on
Pram on a train? You've got two options. The disabled bay and the bike rack. Both of which you're not allowed to use - they're for disabled people and bikes. Instead you have to collapse the pram and place in the overhead space. On your own? With two under two? It's not for the faint hearted.
We need to help parents feel confident when using our public transport with their children and everything that comes with them. Prams help us keep our children strapped in and safe, so when you're told to take them out, collapse the pram and hope for the best, your journey is now completely unpredictable. We need designated areas for prams to be stored without having to collapse them, with seats opposite to watch it and your sleeping baby inside it. Help us travel with confidence as parents.
