Rejected petition Make all state benefits to all immigrants & their families a loan & backdate.

All financial support should be converted to a loan, which should be fully backdated to when the benefits started. We are told that immigration brings economic benefit to the country and its population - so let's have a payment methodology that ensures this. Ideally all benefits should be stopped.

More details

The current benefits strategy in respect of all immigrants of all types, including but not limited to illegal immigrants, their extended families (who may not even be in UK) and asylum seekers is deeply flawed and brings about comprehensive inequitable outcomes in the application of public funds, which are also diverted from more important recipients - such as the disabled and genuinely unemployed British people. Our students have to repay their funding, which is a loan...why not our immigrants?

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you mean by "immigrants", such as former immigrants who are now naturalised British citizens, and who will be affected.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
