Open petition: Improve Monitoring and Early Detection for Endometriosis Patients in the UK
Created by Ambrin Lea Chapman
Closes on
We call on the UK Government to review current monitoring practices for people living with endometriosis and introduce improved long-term care pathways, including appropriate access to MRI scans and other diagnostic tools when clinically needed.
Endometriosis causes years of severe pain, organ damage, infertility and repeated surgeries for many patients. Too often people are only reassessed when symptoms become unbearable, allowing the disease to worsen and spread. We urge the Government to review national monitoring guidelines, improve access to specialist care, and investigate structured monitoring including MRI when appropriate to detect progression earlier, reduce repeated surgeries, and ensure patients receive timely care.
