We call for full public transparency of all MP investments to ensure decisions in Parliament are made for the good of the country, not personal financial gain. Mandatory disclosure of all investments could help protect democracy, prevent conflicts of interest, and rebuild public trust.

We view full transparency of all MP investments - not just those above established thresholds - as essential to help protect democracy & public trust. When financial interests are hidden due to falling below established disclosure thresholds, the risk of decisions being influenced by personal gain can increase. Making all investments public could help ensure accountability, prevent conflicts of interest, & reassure citizens that policies are shaped for the country’s benefit, not private profit.
