Petition Make media get consent from people in vaccination queues before taking photos
Students, young adults and others queuing in vaccination queues at universities, clinics and elsewhere should not have to be subjected to the media taking photographs of them without getting individual consent. If individual consent is not gained faces should be blurred. Consent matters.
More details
In a digital age people should have full control over their image, and being photographed in all medical settings must include queueing outside all temporary and permanent medical facilities. These queues must be treated as controlled settings where an identifiable image of a person who is about to receive medical care is considered sensitive personal data. Neurodivergent people and others may be discouraged from getting vital medial treatment when photographed by media without consent.
