Rejected petition: Make First Aid Education Mandatory in all UK schools.
Rejected on
Introduce compulsory first aid education in all UK schools, including CPR, basic life support, and emergency response skills. Add first aid to the national curriculum so every student receives essential, age-appropriate training.
Young people face emergencies but many don’t know how to respond. 532,000 teenagers helped an injured or unwell friend last year, yet nearly half panicked or didn’t know what to do. Around 400,000 students are injured at school annually, not including adults. First aid training saves lives, builds confidence, and creates safer school communities.
