Make local authorities scrap the new change to the council tax reduction scheme which see's people who are eligible to pay council tax have to pay a minimum 50% regardless of their situation.
With Wirral council and many other local authorities making a change to the council tax reduction scheme it see's many people who cannot afford to pay council tax and have been helped out for many years, all of a sudden having to pay a minimum of 50%.
Along with the current cost of living crisis this is an incredibly unfortunate situation for thousands of people who have relied on help for a long time. While the council bosses receive higher salaries and waste money on daft projects, we suffer
