Rejected petition: Make Epilepsy Awareness & First Aid Training Mandatory in Schools and Workplaces

Rejected on

Require all UK schools and workplaces to provide mandatory epilepsy awareness and seizure first aid training as part of health and safety and safeguarding requirements.

Epilepsy affects 1 in 100 people in the UK, yet many don’t know how to respond to a seizure, risking avoidable harm. This is personal to me—my 10-year-old son, Jayden, has epilepsy and relies on others to keep him safe at school and in public. No parent should fear this. Mandatory training in schools and workplaces would improve safety, reduce stigma, and help protect people like Jayden.
